Our August 5 and 6 gigs at Riverside 4 Marina mark the first for new guitartist Jan House.
Welcome! We hope our musical collaboration is long and prosperous.
The Prodigal Son returns.... Chances are good that a former member will return later this spring.
(Clue - he's bigger than a breadbox.) Stay tuned for details.
Former drummer Craig George foolishly leaves Hawaii, moves back to Ohio, and rejoins
Streetwise, making Tony a very happy person. Tony moves back to percussion and to his favorite
spot on stage: front and slightly off-center. Welcome back, Craig! Stick around this time....
The Prodigal Son leaves again.... Drummer Craig George announces that he is leaving the band
to pursue a teaching opportunity (or some such nonsense - some people really need to get their
priorities straight) in eastern Texas in the middle of May. Tony pulls out much of his dark Italian
hair. John offers to pay Craig's airfare back to Ohio for weekend gigs. No luck. John in relieved.
Tony Dennis, late of the band Element, has joined Streetwise, displacing Tony 1 (this won't be
confusing at all) who returns to percussion and front stage. Tonys (and the rest of the band) are
glad to see the change. Tony 2's first gig with Streetwise will be at the Wyoming Concert on the
Green, July 11. See you there!
John has always said that he is going to retire when he reaches a certain age (my sense of
decency prevents me from being specific) and announces that August 1 of 2008 is that date. How
can you replace a legend in his own mind? We're working on that, but we're all wondering just
how he did it (and for so long)..... The worst part is having to take new pictures.
Streetwise says goodbye and good luck to drummer Tony Dennis who departs for greener
pastures, and welcomes Brooke Storer as the newest member of the band. Brooke brings many
years of experience to Streetwise and we hope he sticks (no pun intended) around for quite a
while!
I probably should put something here once in a while to justify this page's existence.
Mowed the lawn today. I'm always glad when it gets hot and the lawn pretty much dies so I don't
have to mow so often. Mostly mowing weeds now. Washed the car, too. Whew, hot one. Got an
outside gig Sunday, that will be brutal.
Had a sandwich for lunch. Oh, and some cheese curls.
We had a great crowd and a great time for a great cause Saturday night at the Wilmington Eagles.

Anyone who follows Fretmaster Tim Evans on Facebook knows that he wishes he had a band that
played the song "Brandy" (originally by Looking Glass and lately by some country guy) and since
the rest of us think it's a silly song (well, except for Tony and Dee, and I don't know about Brooke,
he's out of town, heck he's out of the country so I guess I really shouldn't speak for him), Tim's
gonna dummy down and look for a band that's more worthy. It will be hard for us to find someone
with Tim's talent and gastrointestinal problems...say, wait a minute...maybe Tim isn't exactly being
straight with us when he says that ALL guitarists worth their super slinkys have GI problems...all
these years...
Our February gig at Putters marks the end of Tim Evans' reign as Fretmaster and ushers in the
Tom Ibaugh era. Our songlist will undergo some major changes as we welcome Major Tom to the
fold. I hope we don't play anything by Looking Glass. Washed the car again. Talk about filthy.
A bittersweet night at Terry B's Tavern last night. Our first time there and what a great crowd!
But our last gig with drummer extraordinaire Brooke Storer as he leaves Streetwise to persue
other avenues of musical fulfillment. Brooke has been the pulse of Streetwise for three years
and will be missed. We wish him health and happiness!
